Our mind and body is an astonishing machine that keeps going on. Having the ability to withstand a lot of pain, it heals itself a lot of times, produces new cells every day and can detect danger specially the danger of stress.

Stress is common you can argue but chronic stress is bad for health, both mental and physical, in the long run. It can come in any form and from anything. Our body reacts to stress and tells us to readjust our priorities and take care of our mind and body.

Sometimes, we take so much work on our shoulders that we start stressing out. Sometimes we get stressed about people and their actions. Our body gives us signs that we are doing more than we can handle. These 7 signs will help you to understand if you too are stressed out and need to take a break from anything or everything that’s causing it.

1. A headache that just never goes away

If your experience headache throughout the day, it could be because of the stress. It is a common trigger of migraine and tension headache and makes them worse over time if you don’t work towards it. If you feel headache daily for no possible reason then probably you need to change your life track a little bit and focus on living a stress-free life.

2. Indigestion

Believe it or not, stress gives you indigestion and it is one of the first places to feel the symptoms of stress. Our brain is directly connected to our stomach. Like watching food photographs make you feel hungry because our brain releases acid that induces hunger. Similarly, a troubled brain signals you through a troubled stomach further causing increased release of stomach acids causing a burning sensation in your throat, causing ulcers, etc.

3. You experience a bad mood

Do you experience constant irritation and bad mood? This might be because of stress. Our brain releases cortisol, along with other stress hormones which affect your mood. You might feel irritated or snap at others quickly or face difficulty in making a decision.

4. Not getting good sleep

Stress is known to disrupt your sleep for a long time. You find yourself tired and groggy in the morning because you did not have a good sleep at night. You feel less energetic and struggle to fall asleep. This is all caused because of stress. If your notice sleeplessness or you wake up at night often, having a hard time sleeping, then consult a doctor because this can harm your health.

5. No longer excited about sex

Stress affects your sex life as well and if you don’t feel excited about it, then it might be a sign that you are stressed.

6. Depression, anxiety and feeling emotional

Stress in the onset of depression and causes anxiety. If you are getting anxious very often or feeling depressed, then try to change your life patterns and live a stress-free life. Stress also causes you to feel highly emotional and makes you prone to more crying. When you are tired and cannot handle more stress, crying becomes an outlet of emotions. If this is happening to you too, then try to distress yourself.

7. Hair loss

Our body reacts to stress very quickly and hair loss is one such reaction of the body towards stress. If you are facing a sudden increase in hair fall then that might be because you are stressed. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it is time to take charge of changing your life and distress yourself. Take help from a professional if you feel the need and cannot handle things on your own. Talking to someone will help you to get negative thoughts out of your system. All these can help you to get your life back on the happy track with less stress.
